The best possible hand is called a full house. This hand contains three of one rank and two of another. The ace can be either high or low. A straight flush is five cards of the same suit. High cards, like an ace, break ties. The highest unmatched card in a hand breaks a tie. The highest two cards of a pair, or secondary pairs, break ties among identical hands. Regardless of the type of hand, the odds of winning depend on the ranking of the high cards.<\/p>\n
Players must first determine whether to raise their bet. After raising the betting pool, players will go around the table clockwise to see whether they want to call or fold. Once the betting round ends, only the players who have not folded have a chance to win the pot. The best hand is considered to be the best 5-card hand.
